Freddie Pom......little Fred went out on trial but unfortunately did not gel with the resident dog. The family gave it a good amount of time but it was just not to be and so Fred is coming back into rescue. Moving forward we think it best that he go out as an only dog . He is dog friendly but is happiest being an only dog at home. Tbh if you have a Freddie you're a lucky person and no other pets needed.....he is indeed a little super star!

From his foster.....

So Fred is a lovely dog. He’s clever, funny, playful, loves his walks and is clean in the house.

He loves to play fetch and tug of war and likes to be centre of attention.

Children are a no he gets anxious around them.

He does initially get anxious about being left but settles very quickly. He can be left for a couple of hours but will bark at people and cars passing.

He knows lots of tricks. He’s very food orientated so he’ll be no trouble to train further.

He can run for miles so needs an active owner.

He does have mild epilepsy but this is well managed. Meds cost around £30 per month.

His coat needs regular brushing which he doesn’t really enjoy but again, will sit still for a couple of minutes and responds well to treats. He will need to check in with a qualified groomer from time to time also.

He's curious about the cats in foster, he does chase them but only to try and play with them, they don’t feel the same about him.

He’s fully vaccinated and neutered and really has been well looked after.

Freddies got the looks and the brains and is a very clever, active dog who would excel in sport home eg agility, flyball. He is loves a squeaky ball and can get a little possessive and run away with it if he thinks your going to take it. He is NOT A LAP DOG, freddie is not the type of dog that a walk round the local park will satisfy he does require an active, experianced home ideally with an owner who enjoys trick training and dog sport.
